Team Member Spotlight: Dale Puckett

Welcome to our new blog post series “Team Member Spotlight,” where we at YouthHOPE will be shining a spotlight on one teammate every month! This month we would like to feature Dale Puckett!

Dale serves as the Director of Operations and European Regional Liaison for YouthHOPE (YH). Dale joined the YH team in December of 2014 after working for years as a youth minister in the local church. “I have had the privilege of serving the local church in the US during those years as a youth pastor. In being introduced to YH, I recognized that many youth globally did not have trained youth workers to invest in their lives and offer the hope of Jesus. As a result, I felt God calling me and my family to something bigger. I believe that YH is making a difference globally by developing leaders to impact youth in their contexts. I believe this is significant in disciple-making and I am grateful to be a part of it!”

Dale loves the passion that youth bring to their communities and churches. “I see so much passion in the lives of youth and youth leaders globally. There is a desire to grow closer to God and live and think like Jesus. Sometimes I am humbled by their passion for the Word and wonder if I have that much passion. I believe this is why the Gospel is thriving in other parts of the world, and ultimately why I believe this enhances the potential of global youth ministry.”

One of Dale’s favorite memories was leading youth camp in Malawi, Africa alongside his family. “There were others on the team including the Hannekens, and two former students of mine. It was awesome to serve with my wife, Christa, and my children, Tyler and Taylor. It was the first time being on the field as a family and I will always cherish leading with them!”
